Phil Richards: I joined the army at the age of seventeen after pretty much dropping out of college. Lets just say I didnt do very well on my mock exams! Funnily enough, though, it actually worked out alright for me in the end. Ive been in the army for 12 years, having served several tours in iraq and afghanistan. I'm now a sergeant, having just returned from training young infantry recruits in catterick for the past 2 years. During my time in the army I have still occasionally taken time to enjoy an old childhood hobby, writing science fiction. I have recently had the honour of publishing my second novel online, which is why I have my blog to get the word out and make it easier to find. I hope that there are people out there who will enjoy my work, and who knows, I might even write more!
